About Antiqued Glass of Bath
Our associated company The Looking Glass of Bath, is a small company established 35 years ago and has a reputation as one of the country's leading makers of reproduction 18th and 19th century mirrors. We are constantly asked to fit antique mirror plates into our frames in order to give them a more authentic look and feel, however the sourcing and supply of old mirror glass has become ever more problematical and time consuming. So we decided 10 years ago to silver modern glass ourselves to replicate the softer grey tone and foxing of old mercury glass.
We now have a number of presilvered stock sheets in Bath that we ask our clients to choose from, and as long as we have prior notice our workshop can usually cut and fit the glass into our clients frames on a same day basis.
We also manufacture mirrored glass tiles to any size and thickness. These can then easily be fixed to a wall with mirror adhesive, which we can also supply. Tiles can be cut to any size from pre silvered stock sheets or alternatively, tiles are pre cut and then individually hand silvered.
